Being Authentic – What does it actually mean?

Being authentic – what does it actually mean?

Authentic means being what it appears to be. Genuine. Real. These are the words that appear in your mind when you think about being authentic.

When you are authentic, your actions come from a space of neutrality. There are no after thoughts about what you did or spoke because authenticity comes from a space of mindfulness. It is not about being hypervigilant or super conscious about what you think/do, how you do, etc. But, it is from a space where you are in complete awareness of what you think and do. You are in complete acceptance of every thought and action. You are completely in-charge and grip over every single second, and that too, with utmost ease.

Another way of explaining authenticity is being in alignment with the rhythm of the Universe. When you flow in sync with the Universe, whatever I wrote above happens with ease. You are mindful, aware, and in complete charge of every single moment that you will be your true, real, genuine self. There are no masks.

Every contribution you make, every single thing you receive will be an experience for you, without any charges. You will be fully aware of what you are saying and doing, and to an extent where you will know for sure that the person on the other end will receive or contribute wholly.

It has been widely said that it is easier said than done. But, I would say, it is easier to be in your natural state than wearing a mask and carrying the weight of that.

Yes, you have gone through multiple experiences that could ask you to mask how you feel. It might have dampened your confidence; it might have left you shattered. However, every moment gives you an opportunity to start a fresh, new phase – a brand new chapter. And, you, and only you can decide how you want to be. Take one step at a time. The perceived obstacles are the just the limitations you have set for yourself from the various beliefs, perceptions, and other subconscious and conscious energies you formed from all the countless experiences you have gone through.

Being in a fully authentic space is a total acceptance of all that you are. You will be aware that you are enacting the roles you are being expected to play. You will be okay with getting angry; you will be okay with feeling happy. Everything transforms into an experience – an experience that you allow yourself to go through without carrying any charge, in a totally detached manner.

When you are able to see through this, when you are ready to understand this, you will emerge being fully authentic
