Shunyaivaham
The core of The Soul Shift lies in the concept of Shunyaivaham. The term Shunyaivaham took birth while I was in a meditative process during one of the training programs. A fusion of two Sanskrit words – Shunya and Aham, it translates into the Void is me.
There is a sense of complete detachment. There is nothing to chase; there is nothing to own. This is the ultimate goal everyone talks about. And, there are myriads of ways one can reach here. Yoga, meditation, vibrational frequencies, quantum jumping, affirmations, and all those numerous methodologies available out there lead you to the same destination – the destination being Shuyna. Not to forget prayer and chanting. Religions also have the same goal – reach a space of neutrality, where you are one with the absolute nothingness.
Shunya
The Shunya space, or the Zero space, where nothing exists marked the beginning of everything. It is an absolute space where everything is neutral. There is a heightened sense of awareness; yet, there is a remarkable sense of detachment. Everything flows with ease. And, you are aware of the truth that you are nothing, yet everything.
Aham
Aham, literally, translates into I. But the I mentioned here is more than what you and I use daily. This I is omnipresent and omnipotent. Its own value is unmanifested. This I can be referred to as Parabhamam in Sanskrit [meaning = The one without any qualities].
Shunyaivaham – The Void is I – I am nothing, no one. I do not have any names or qualities. Nothingness is everything.
Reaching this space of Shuyaivaham is usually considered and advocated as a challenging process. However, with so many years of practice, I realized that the challenges and struggles you face arise from the lack of acceptance or rather, not being okay with the myriad of things and experiences you go through. There are norms; there are ideologies, concepts, beliefs, and images that you reinforce yourself through repeated experiences.
Subconscious mind, being a creature of habit, soon gets used to what you have reinforced over the years, and transforms that into your reality. To shift what you want to experience and allow yourself to be in the ultimate space of Shunyaivaham all you need is the awareness of what is happening in the very given moment. Being aware will give you an opportunity to decide what step needs to be taken next.
These realizations and awareness and contemplations over the way subconscious mind functions led to the creation of the concept and practice of the A.R.T.
A.R.T – Aware, Release, Transform
Everything is energy. And, it is essential for the evolution of life. According to the law of conservation of energy, “the total energy is constant in any process.” This implies that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but can just be transformed from one form to another.
This concept forms the base of A.R.T.
A – Aware
Being aware implies a level of mindfulness that a person showcases in the present moment that allows him/her to make informed decisions and thrive in life with a greater sense of understanding. When you are aware, you are fully present in the moment. Yes, there could be a myriad of questions that could come in, but you are in a space where you know these are happening.
Being aware is the first step. In other words, you can tell that being aware is like giving a definition to the existence of something. It is an acknowledgment of something with full consciousness.
R – Release
Once you become aware, once there is acknowledging the existence of something in this very moment, you are given an opportunity to decide how you want to handle it.
Let us say for example – there is a situation where you are experiencing fear. When you become aware that fear exists, you can now decide whether you want to release it or hold onto it. The choice is yours.
T – Transform
Now comes the third step – transform. If you have decided to release, you now have the choice to transform it. As mentioned earlier, since the total energy remains constant, you can now change the thoughts and ideas and other aspects you released into a form that is in sync with what you wish, and eventually, into the space of Shunyaivaham.
